To continue its commitment to America, and the new Chrysler vehicles in our Fayetteville showroom, Chrysler is putting more effort in to the production of their vehicles. Recently, the focus has been on improving the engines of popular models like the 200 & Town & Country.

Two plants in Michigan will each divide the responsibility of putting the TigerShark engine together, found on vehicles like the Dart, the upcoming Cherokee, and potentially the Chrysler 100, which we've discussed as a future option on the Lewis Chrysler Dodge Jeep blog before. One facility will make the machine cranks, heads, and blocks, which will then be transported to the other plant, which will complete the creation of the engine.

The investment is not small but will be entirely worth it. For $53 million Chrysler hopes to create nearly 300 jobs across the area. The hope is that everything will be operational by September 30.

In addition to theTigerShark engine, the Trenton North plant which makes the engines also produces the Pentastar V-6, found on the Chrysler 300, as well.

To learn more about the options under the hood, and inside the cabin of new Chrysler vehicles, stop in and see us today. Our team would be happy to provide all the specifications and details for you, and answer any questions you might have. When the right model grabs your attention, we can give you a hands-on experience in the form of a test drive, where you are sure to come away impressed.
