Many are aware that Dodge is involved in all kinds of racing. We've highlighted lots of events of this nature on the Lewis Chrysler Dodge Jeep blog before, but none of the two-wheeled variety. That is until now.
No, Dodge hasn't started making motorbikes, but they played a big part as sponsor, and captured their first-ever X Games podium finish.
In the Moto X event, which pits 12 riders against each other on a dirt course that includes big air jumps, whoops sections, and rollers, the Dodge racing team powered by a Suzuki motorbike took home silver in the final event, as Moto X marked its return to the X Games for the first time since 2010.
Dodge's rider, Josh Hill actually led for a lot of the race, which was intense and action packed in LA, as the course was tight, causing many riders to think quick, act aggressive, but also play defense to keep others from passing.
It's a cool thing to witness on TV, and we can only imagine it's much better to watch in person.
Here in our Fayetteville, AR showroom, there aren't any motorbikes, but plenty of new Dodge vehicles to choose from. There's one, the Dart that participates in another X Games event, RallyCross, plus muscle cars like the Challenger.
