The War Eagle Mill has a history that is as rich as the area it’s located. This historic spot has been rebuilt four different times since the original family built their homestead and water-powered mill on War Eagle Creek in 1832. The Blackburn family established their family home and mill here, and after a complicated history through the Civil War, flooding, and fires, was finally rebuilt in 1973 into the Mill you can visit today. It’s the only working mill in Arkansas, and is powered by an 18-foot wooden waterwheel. You can shop there to find organic flours and grains, jams, jellies, pickled vegetables, and baking accessories, or there’s also a restaurant to visit in the mill featuring dishes made with the same delicious ingredients you can find in the shop.
Daisy Airgun Museum (https://www.daisymuseum.com/)
The Daisy Airgun Museum is located in downtown Rogers, and features historical artifacts and products from the historic Daisy company. These little BB guns may spark memories of the holiday movie, “A Christmas Story,” and have a rich history beyond that film. Originally created in 1880, the same year as the Statue of Liberty and Coca-Cola, the Plymouth Iron Windmill Company in Michigan started giving a free metal air-rifle to every farmer that bought a windmill from them. Four years later, the demand for these air-rifles shifted the focus of the company, and by 1895, they stopped manufacturing windmills altogether and changed their name to the Daisy Manufacturing Company. Visitors to the museum today can learn the full history of the company, as well as view the World’s Largest Daisy BB Gun, installed in the museum in January 2021.

The first Bliss Cupcake Cafe opened in Fayetteville, AR in 2009, and has expanded into 4 locations including one in Rogers, AR. They feature gourmet cupcakes, made fresh every morning in the shop, with flavors like Chocolate Milkshake, Italian Cream Cake, and gluten-free options like Marshmallow Brownie. They’re a sweet little stop to get your dessert, and have a huge fan following in the area.
