Fries have long been a staple in the American diet, and generally are one of the first comfort foods that comes to mind, on the same list with a big bowl of mac and cheese or a giant hot fudge sundae. Here in the Natural State, we have our pick of places to get amazing French fries. Whether you smother them in gravy, cover them with chili and cheese, or dip them in ketchup, we all love French fries. We definitely love driving the AR roads in a 2021 RAM 1500 pickup and tracking down a big basket of hot French fries in the areas near Lewis Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM.  Fayetteville has a ton of options near our new Jeep dealership with RAM trucks for sale and the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer, but we wanted a complete list so we scoured reviews for restaurants in the whole state of Arkansas.  Here are our picks for some of the best places to find French fries in Arkansas:

1. The Big Orange, Little Rock, AR

The Big Orange has some of the best fries in Central Arkansas. Choose between house fries, state fair fries topped with chili and cheese, truffle-garlic-herb fries, or sweet potato fries served with mango-curry ketchup.

2. George’s, Fort Smith, AR

The Catsavis family opened this popular Fort Smith restaurant in 1982. George’s is most known for its burgers and homemade French fries. Guests can order these locally famous fries plain, smothered in cheese, or covered in gravy.

3. David’s Burgers, Multiple locations

Welcome home to David’s Burger’s! These restaurants are inspired by the butcher shops of the 50s and 60s. David’s Burgers, obviously famous for…burgers, is also well-known for the French fries. Potatoes are hand-cut throughout the day to keep these famous fries fresh.

4. Tusk & Trotter American Brasserie, Bentonville, AR

Make your reservation today at this award-winning eatery located just off of the Square in downtown Bentonville. The “pommes frites” are just one of the many reasons that the locals love Tusk & Trotter.

5. Feltner’s Whatta Burger, Russellville, AR

Feltner’s has been famous around the Russellville area since it opened way back in 1967. While this spot is popular for its burgers, let’s talk about the FRIES! The French fries at Feltner’s Whatta Burger complement the burgers perfectly. Just exercise caution when you order...even the personal fry is large enough to feed a small family!

6. The Faded Rose, Little Rock, AR

Have you tried Rose’s Famous French Fries? These large potato wedges, a local favorite, are served with a house buttermilk dressing. The Faded Rose opened to the public in 1982.

7. Hugo’s, Fayetteville, AR

This Fayetteville favorite has been serving the Northwest Arkansas area since 1977. Hugo’s is well-known for its fresh homemade fries.
